Does car insurance cover fire damage?

Only comprehensive car insurance covers fire damage. The basic minimum car insurance will not include fire damage. Comprehensive also includes theft, windshield damage, key loss, and other damages to the car like key scratches.

If you want fire damage and you do not have comprehensive car insurance, contact your insurance broker and request for a change in policy. It will cost you more so you have to study the different coverage to streamline your comprehensive thereby making it more affordable.

Some of the features under comprehensive also include personal accident/injury, death, car accessories, third party damage, loss of personal items while inside the car and medical expenses.
